Hello, let's learn a little more about your 1st visit.
What Will Happen on My 1st Visit?
Your initial appointment will consists of a consultation.
We will review your medical and dental history as well as collect clinical information necessary to diagnose the treatment you need. The clinical information may include a complete periodontal charting, x-rays, and photographs. We will complete an in-depth medical and dental health history and a thorough examination to measure for bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ, and other signs of periodontal disease. Please allow approximately 60 minutes for your initial visit.
All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment.

Please assist us at the time of your initial visit to our office by providing the following information:

-
Your referral slip and x-rays from you referring dentist

-
A list of medications you are currently taking, including aspirin and any allergies to any medications

-
Also, let us know ahead of time if you have to take any pre-medication antibiotics. Often if one has a history of heart murmur, rheumatic fever, pacemaker, heart attack, or artificial joints, metal plates or pins in the fingers, knees, or toes, one should check with their physician to see if they recommend antibiotics to prevent infection in that area, as even a periodontal examination or dental cleaning can stir up enough bacteria to cause a very serious consequence to your overall health.
